| Bedrooms 4 Closed Bdrms. Master bedroom on main level with king size bed, 2 upstairs bedrooms, each with queen beds. Fourth bedroom in basement walk-out is quite large - it has a king size bed and a double bed with a single bunk on top of the double. That is 11 people in bedrooms. Cottage sleeps 17 when including the 3 sofa beds in the lower level. Kitchen New stainless steel appliances, quartz granite countertops, tumbled travertine backsplash, kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, full fridge/stove, full glasswares and cookwares. Plates/cutlery etc for 17+. Plenty of extra cabinet space and a large walk in pantry. Living room 50" Plasma TV with satellite and DVD, natural stacked stone wood burning fireplace, full leather sofa and matching loveseat, lounge chair. Living room joins kitchen and sunroom in an open design. Dining Room Open concept dining area ajoining kitchen, directly overlooking lake with oversized 10 ft window. Dining table seats up to 8 in plush chairs. The table is 10 ft long, so can actually seat more than 8, as the distance between chairs is fairly large. For other seating, we also have a garden table in the sunroom that seats 6, so there is dining seating for approximately 17. Bath 2 bathrooms Main floor bathroom has a double jacuzzi tub overlooking forest, a separate glass shower, and a double black granite sink + large linen cabinet. 2nd bathroom is a powder room. Basement Lower level is a walk out (ie it has an exterior door to the outside of the house). Direct access to front lawn and lake. Lower level has 3 sofa beds, 36" TV with Satellite and DVD, Foosball table, wood storage closet and 4th bedroom. Water Supply Private well water. Winter Heating Thermostatically controlled electric heating in all areas as well as a high efficiency wood fireplace that has fans venting to the main and basement levels. The house is extremely well insulated with 10" thick walls and argon windows throughout. We are also sunny south facing, so it's a naturally bright and warm home. |

Fully forested on other side of house, completely private on side and back and by waterfront. Lakefront 250 ft of frontage on Lac Canard (most frontage is still natively forested according to environmental standards). Grassed to shoreline, then sand entering the water, very shallow and safe for children and pets. Outdoor Amenities Large wrap around deck leads out from both kitchen and sunroom. 6 person hot tub spa on deck, as well as BBQ, picnic table and assorted resin chairs, all overlooking lake and forest. Stairs from deck down to grassed lawn leads to a stone firepit and direct lakefront access with sandy shallow water entry. Peddleboat, canoe and kayak included. Parking Very near the cottage. | Lac Canard is a wonderful private access non-motorized lake. There are only about 10 chalets on the lake, and we share a floating dock in the summer in the middle of the lake for resting or sunning or diving, because each of our shorelines are typically shallow sandy entrances (never deep drop-offs). The lake itself is quite clear, you can see the bottom from your boat. It is also the "head lake" meaning nothing flows into it, just mountain water, so you are assured a clean safe lake - the water is even drinkable! But we of course have our own separate well. |

| The Sandy Lake is a newly contructed (2011) 4 bedroom waterfront home on the shorelines of Lac Canard. This lakefront home is on a private road with no traffic, the land to the sides and back of the home are covered with old growth native forest - pine, maple and birch trees, very private. Very large grassed lawn with firepit facing lake. Waterfront is sandy and shallow, with easy access for all ages. Extensive forest trails right off our road (many km long!) are ideal for easy family hiking. We also accept pets! ~ 15 minutes from Ste-Agathe-des-Monts, 1 hour 15 min from Montreal, 2.5 hrs from Ottawa ~ |

| Incredible starry nights: We have ABSOLUTELY NO light pollution at night, no nearby town lights even at the horizon (we are at a slightly higher elevation than all towns around).. Year round, enjoy stars and bright planets like you have never seen them before. |

| Forest Walks or ATVing In the summer, the snowmobile runs turn into groomed forest trails that could go on forever (you choose when to turn back!). Big mountain views and clean clear country forest air. Easy for all ages (no big hills or mountain climbs by us). All right from our own little road. You'll occasionally see an ATV come by and if you like, can rent one nearby yourself to watch the scenery at a faster pace. ATV to Tremblant Village right from our trail! |
| Groomed Snowmobile Trails We have the great fortune of being directly off the Provincial Snowmobile Trail (although you'd never know it if we didn't tell you - no views or noise at all). These groomed trails grace the entire province in an interlooping 33,000 km of winter trails, the pride of Quebec, and some of the best snowmobiling in the world. We are snow country. Sandy Lake chalet is directly off the Trans-Quebec snowmobile Route 33. |

| Exterior Sandy Lake cottage is on a generous one acre (50 000 sq ft) of lakefront land, and is the only cottage on the southern side of the lake. We have a sunny south exposure, winter and summer. The home is fully grassed with a very large lawn, and naturally forested with old growth pine and maple on both sides of the home. We have one neighbour to the left through the forest, and no neighbour to the right or back of the cottage. Perfect for those looking for all the amenities in a natural setting, fresh air and a clean lake, privacy and tranquility, yet not too far from nearby Laurentian towns. |
