LAURENTIANS GOLF
Many things contribute to the quality and popularity of golf
destinations, but whatever the criteria, the Laurentians region of Quebec
exceeds them all ! Like very few golf destinations in Canada, the
Laurentian region features spectacular landscapes, exceptional resorts and
championship golf that is scenic, challenging, inspiring and unforgettable
- all at once. |
 |
The Laurentians create the backdrop for some of Canada's best known
course architects including Thomas McBroom, Graham Cooke and Darrell
Huxham, Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry.
The Laurentian golfscape is a playground like no other, boasting as
many as twenty championship courses and numerous outstanding golf resorts
- Tremblant, Carling Lake, Royal Laurentien, Gray Rocks and L'Esterel
among them. |
| The focal point of Laurentian golf is the city of Mont
Tremblant / St. Jovite and Mont Tremblant Village. Nearby are six inspired
golf designs - Le Geant (Thomas McBroom), Le Diable (Michael Hurdzan &
Dana Fry), La Belle, La Bete (Graham Cooke), Le Maitre (Fred Couples),
Manitou (Darrell Huxham) - a marvellous 18-hole "executive" layout. |
| Down the road a bit are three more outstanding golf resorts - Royal
Laurentian, L'Esterel and Carling Lake. Several Laurentian sites have
highly regarded golf academies, instructional programs and practice
facilities as well. Within an hour's drive are yet another dozen
challenging golf courses, each a new golf adventure.
Each of the Laurentian courses included here ranks among the Top 25
public golf courses in Quebec, most in the Top 10, and several among the
Top 100 Courses in Canada. |
